Movie: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (U.S.)
a) Rooney Mara had her hair butchered, eyebrows bleached. She had her nipple, nose and eye brow pierced for the role. She also learned how to smoke and became comfortable having to do nude scenes.
b) She used the style of Method Acting for the role.

3. The difference between the acting style in the beginning of the film and towards the end is that it later becomes more realistic. Women were now able to play female roles. This caused a shift in how those roles were acted out as oppose to a man playing a women.
